Suck Cream

Suck cream is a Cornish dessert.It is made by taking 1 pint of cream adding the well beaten yolk of a large egg, 3 table spoons of white wine, sugar and lemon peel to taste. The cook the suck cream heat gently until the mixture is the same consistency as cream. The mixture then needs to be cooled. It is served cold traditionally with slices of toast.
