Scad and Potatoes

A staple of Cornish fishing communities was the once plentiful Scad or Mackerel Scad. The fish species is common worldwide and in the 21st Century more commonly used for bait in sport fishing.  The Scad however is a very tasty fish not unlike the Mackerel. The Scad was almost always served with potatoes of various kinds.
