The Green Man Print

Cornish artist Tamsyn “Gurdybird” Swingler has very kindly produced a set of limited edition lino prints all inspired by the work of the Cornish Culture Association. For each print sold a donation is made to the work of the CCA. Each print is pressed by hand in limited quantities. They are then hand finished, numbered, titled (if the title doesn’t appear in the image) and signed by the artist. They are also individually mounted, but can be carefully removed should you wish to have them framed. The below image is how the print looks, and the watermark is only included for internet protection. Due to the process of printing, some small differences are likely.

The Green Man is a traditional presence at May Day celebrations, and for the folks of Penzance, he appears at May Horns and Montol. May Horns is held on the first Sunday of May and starts at the Tolcarne, where participants process along the prom, blowing horns to “drive out the Devil of Winter.” Please allow 14 days for delivery. Price £50 plus postage.
