Cornish Cream Tea

The cream tea is of course not just confined to Cornwall. The cream tea is a plain sweet scone served with jam, cream and served with a pot of tea. In Cornwall the scone is often substituted with a “split” a soft white bread roll. The cream is traditionally served on the top of the jam in Cornwall, unlike in Devon where the reverse applies.
